Linda Herman, Project Manager
Linda is the principal and owner of Linda Herman Consulting, a consulting firm that offers exceptional outcome-oriented project management and facilitation services, providing the expertise to plan, coordinate and manage the design and construction process for a variety of clients. She works with non-profit organizations, developers, and corporate clients and has completed projects as varied as an award-winning synagogue in San Francisco, a $100M wholesale product market, a local food bank, and individual residences.
Linda was born and raised in the Bronx, NYC, where she knew her neighbors, played “around the corner”, and knew the local vendors. This experience is at the heart of her professional goals: to develop innovative models for affordable and sustainable living for the senior community. Her mission is to create co-housing developments: scalable, walkable, healthy neighborhoods where seniors can live in community and age gracefully in place. As a model for senior living, co-housing’s core values of community, sustainability, and affordability address the aging issues of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. This is the next housing frontier she wishes to bring to fruition.
Her education includes a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and B.A. in Interior Design from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Prior to establishing Linda Herman Consulting in 2003, her experience included more than 10 years as a senior project manager with prestigious San Francisco design firms. Her areas of expertise include facilities strategic planning/visioning, budget development and control, and management of the design and construction processes. She is certified as a Senior Co-Housing Facilitator, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and is a WBE Certified Women’s Business.
